Wander

After interviewing over 60 participants in the education system, we found that schools recognize their own lack in intercultural awareness and collaboration / communication skills are are extremely interested in increasing these levels but they lack the logistical / social networks, and often time necessary to find age appropriate, authentic and engaging multicultural materials.  Wander is a virtual platform that utilizes communication technologies to empower students, teachers and administrators to connect, collaborate and engage with schools around the world. Wander seeks to engage schools with authentic materials by focusing on project based and experiential learning. Through Wanders virtual platform, schools and classrooms can search for open projects occurring around the world, connect, and collaborate with one another. Additionally, the platform will allow for the open sharing of teaching materials to enhance knowledge share in the education community. We seek to help schools wander with direction, and expand their classrooms to all corners of the world.
