Aquaponics systems from recycled materials

Right now, farming is unsustainable. We’re wasting massive amounts of food, excreating huge loads of carbon into the atmosphere, and for all that, we’re not even meeting our basic obligations to feed our neighbors.

Their are ways to farm sustainably, and even for individuals to grow their own crops while being eco friendly, but they are expensive and daunting.

We want to provide an entry point to sustainable farming for kids, students, or people who just want to try it. Our idea is to sell small-scale aquaponics sets that people can use to learn the science and techniques for sustainable farming in their unique situation. Such a kit isn’t unheard of, but what makes ours unique is that we are using scraps that would otherwise be thrown out, which makes our systems both more environmentally friendly, and less expensive than others.
