Virtual Reality Games for Cognitive Rehab

SpanAbility creates virtual reality games and environments designed to enhance and expand on the possibilities of cognitive rehabilitation. More than 16 million people need cognitive rehabilitation each year, due to a stroke, traumatic brain injury, onset of dementia, or other disorders. In hospital and clinic settings, therapists often find themselves limited in treatment options due to lack of accessibility to natural environments (e.g., kitchen, bathroom, grocery store), safety concerns, or time constraints. Despite these shortcomings, cognitive rehabilitation outcomes are positive. It begs the question: If a VR-based solution could not only address the above-mentioned limitations but also enhance efficacy with end data reporting and grading features, how might that further promote positive patient outcomes? SpanAbility aims to do just this — improve patient outcomes through strategic and innovative rehabilitation technology.
