The eleventh grade is a pivotal year in a student’s academic journey, often determining their future economic prospects. We have high school counselors that exist to help students plan out their life but the avg ratio between a counselor and student is 408:1. This imbalance creates an inequality in the socioeconomic outcomes of students and contributes to the desperate outcome of students. However, it does not have to be this way. Leveraging the power of machine learning and Artificial Intelligence, Twain is developing a tool that provides students with personalized feedback and guidance in the most critical years of their life. Our proprietary algorithm considers several data points around academic and extracurricular achievement as well as personal aspirations to create a guidance plan that students can tangibly follow, ensuring that lack of resources and guidance no longer hinders a student’s underachieving their potential.
