The Community Tree

Black, Native and Latinx families are disproportionately impacted by the child welfare system. The current system is rooted in surveillance and punishment and often leads to negative health outcomes such as: trauma, chronic poverty, houselessness, lower mental health and more. The Community Tree will create a system that is rooted in self-determination, healing, and community care.
