Millions of people set New Year’s goals yearly, but only 8% of them keep these resolutions. However, one proven way to achieve your goals is through having a friend to keep you accountable. Based on this research, I have created a behavioral science-backed mobile application where you can be paired with or select an accountability partner to keep you on track with your goals. I have also developed a new method for goal-setting based on research that breaks down significant milestones into tangible goals. By adding a social-media component where you can share your progress with friends, this app has the potential for virality. A majority of apps in the self-help space are not research-backed, proving a gap in the market. I am a UX designer and UX researcher for the app, looking for mentors, advisors, and developers in the self-improvement industry to help create an MVP.
