20,000 students (and growing) from Africa apply for a US student visa every year. All students are required to pay a $350 non-refundable Department of Homeland Security fee called the Sevis fee, which can only be paid in the United States for the majority of African students before they can schedule a visa interview. Another hassle in many of these countries is easy access to US Dollars. SevPay is designed to help students from Africa remit this fee in the US while they conveniently pay in their local currency.
