TheWord will unite social life on college campuses. College students realistically don’t check websites or apps. Rather, they communicate in bite-sized pieces of content, and they should receive community information as such. If you sign up for TheWord with your @wustl.edu email, you will receive one text message every week with personalized community information, with a link to all of the details to have an interesting, fulfilling, and good time.
The business model will hopefully have three stages:
- Network Building – building a network of students at WashU
- Marketing & Advertising – use the platform to market and advertise for for-profit ventures
- Ticketing & Vertical Integration – build out the platform so that it is a one-stop-shop for event ticketing, marketing, and management platform
