Phoenix
1.9M people in the U.S. need prosthetic limbs. The cost of a single prosthetic can be anywhere from $5,000-$70,000 dollars. This cost burden further increases due to the need to replace prosthetics in their entirely due to wear and tear along with physical changes such as weight changes or height changes, leading to a lifetime cost of hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Phoenix is a prosthetic designed with interchangeable parts, so that individual parts can be exchanged or replaced without having to replace the prosthetic in its entirety. This may include exchanging worn out parts, or altering the width/length of a prosthetic.
We are a team of business and engineering students looking for mentors and advisors, as well as those willing to assist with prototyping and financial modelling.
