One of our co-founders was in Zimbabwe dreaming about going to university in the United States, but had no idea where to even start. After endless, confusing research, he decided to apply and attend a small university in the Midwest, only to find out that a better fit, WashU, was just 20 min down the road – which is where he ultimately attended for his graduate studies.

Oystar is changing that experience. We are doing that by building a unique platform that is about access and community. Oystar is LinkedIn for international students and universities. A platform where students and universities can finally connect meaningfully and effectively for higher education opportunities. Using our university fit algorithm and our data analytics, we are improving traditional university recruiting strategies, and how students find their educational opportunities.

Through Oystar, we strive to educate, empower, and connect the coming generation of students to the world, no matter where they are!
