ForUs Blue
Within America, those who identify as black, indigenous, or identify with other historically marginalized racial groups are less likely to have access to mental health services, less likely to seek out treatment, more likely to receive low or poor quality of care, and more likely to have a negative stigma towards receiving or seeking out mental health treatment. ForUs Blue can aid BIPOC individuals to connect to BIPOC mental health clinicians, for a more relatable mental health experience. Additionally, wishing this platform can gain traction to aid in destigmatizing mental health within BIPOC communities and provide more culturally competent and culturally informed resources to communities that need them.
