Finer Medical Products

In Cameroon, we rely on 100% imports for most medical products including medical consumables such as syringes, IV cannulae, infusion sets, and blood transfusion sets. Back in medical school, I started a medical supply business to help medical students acquire the textbooks and equipment they needed for their training. After graduating and working as a Physician in several Health Facilities, I noticed the frequent shortages and high costs of medical consumables in health facilities. So, our company began importing these products but they were still expensive and the shipping process was usually long and sometimes unreliable.

That’s why we thought of starting up a manufacturing plant for these medical consumables, starting with manufacture of a single product (syringes), with the possibility of extending to the others subsequently.
