Biodegradable Menstrual Pads

Globally, 9% of people are experiencing extreme poverty and live on less than $2.15 per day. An additional 24% of people live in fragile conditions. The solution is to create jobs and provide a source of income. The easiest way to do that is to buy from them something they are already growing: The stalk of their banana tree. My plan is to create partnerships with impoverished communities across the globe and purchase their banana plant, after harvesting, to create 100% biodegradable menstrual supplies that are free of plastic and dyes. The company would help partners increase their banana production and assist new farmers to get started. The menstrual pads would be sold in the countries we are working with, but also in the USA, European, and Asian markets.
